Hello, you don't need a subdomain for a addon domain.. You can sign up with a subdomain from x10 and then go to the management panel and change it to a regular domain.

What??? I have an addon co.cc domain (I added it through cPanel) and it added it as a subdomain to my main domain which I cannot remove.

By the way, that post, while appreciated, did NOT answer my question.

The requirement stems from the method cPanel uses to implement the addon domain feature of their software. If you want more domains, go somewhere else or sign up for our premium service.

So that is ridiculous of X10 to only allow two subdomains. I'm sure I'm not the only one with an addon domain, so there are many people who only have one subdomain. Why do you only allow two when there are other hosts that allow 50, 1000, and I know of one that offers unlimited.

Also, my initial question was again ignored.

cl58tools do you not realize that the other hosting companies do not offer cPanel and unlimited space? Unless you want to run a webhost I don't see why you would need unlimited subdomains. Also, you can try changing your main domain to make subdomains..

And how much disk space and bandwidth do they allow?
Nobody gives away unlimited everything for free & without forced ads.
If you don't like the limitations and everyplace else is so much better, host your addon domains there.

And what was your original question?

I'm not saying I want or need unlimited. I'm just saying that two is not enough for a lot of people. Also, most free webhosts do have cPanel and most offer more space than anyone would need, but that is beside the point.

Anyway, is there a reason why you are blatantly ignoring my question?

My original question was "Why was my thread deleted?" (you deleted my initial thread on this topic)

HelioHost, for one, has unlimited subdomains. They limit the amount of bandwidth and space, but as it says at http://www.heliohost.org/home/features-mainmenu-35/webspace-a-bandwidth most do not need that much. I used to use them, but left for reasons that I am not going to disclose here.

The initial one you worded was a combination of flamebait and advertisement of a rival webhosting service. There was no constructive criticism within it and that's likely why it got deleted.

I disagree and think that two subdomains is unreasonable, but I'll let it go.
