WMP its just there no need to learn how to use a new program just to hear music :p

but as far as i have read winamp provides you many more services even for web radio stations of your own ...so its surely a debate!

I won't go for either Windows Media Player or Winamp.

I Love RealPlayer. It has all Codecs and can play all type of media files.

RealPlayer is best..

Neither. iTunes because I have an iPod and need it to transfer music.

Neither lol, I don't have any speakers or headphones so don't use my PC for music.

pennies: winamp can interact with iPods via a plugin I think.
And Windows Media Player for me.

I use WMP as its just there, no need for another program to clutter up some space on your hard disk just to listen to music. That extra 50MB could be used for about 10 more songs!

I use Winamp. I find it much easier to manage all my songs on it than on WMP.

For music it's Foobar2000 on windows or iTunes on Mac (and ONLY on mac). Foobar's lightweight, fast, has customizable interface, and playback configuration that many other players don't (various replaygain settings and the like). iTunes is only good on mac.

For video: VLC or Zoom Player. VLC is like the Foobar of video; plays anything you throw at it, advanced playback customization, lightweight, etc. Zoom is a bit prettier, but performs similarly.

And sweet jesus, did someone actually recommend RealPlayer? That's like saying, "Hey, get cancer, it's AWESOME!"

I prefer using Media Player Classic. It is included in the KLite Codec Pack. It can play any type of media file. If you want to download it link is here.
But comparing winamp and wmp, i prefer wmp11.

Neither (much), I use iTunes, but only because all my songs are from my sister's iPod xD

But IMO WMP + DivX = I don't really need WinAMP, even though I have it xD

I'd say foobar, but it just takes so damn long to get it to the point that I want it. I spent a few hours setting it up on my laptop and it is one of the prettiest and most efficient programs I've ever used. Unfortunately I'm too lazy to go through all of that jazz again on my PC.

For ease of use, I'd say MediaMonkey. I was able to tag and organize the 25 or so percent of my albums that were untagged or improperly tagged with that program in under an hour. It's really great.

I can say that both WMP's aren't really that bad. At least compared to iTunes which I hate with a passion.

Yea, most people I know use premade interfaces. I'm just an engineering bum, so the uber-plain default look is what I stick with :p
