This always to become a popular thread!

Do you hate vista! Do you love xp! Do you just use apple! Battle it out here to see what OS is the better one! In my opinion i like windows vista more! I have it and love it! First week my computer was slow like hell! But then vista started to adapt to my computer needs and now its super fast!

So what do you think? Who will win? Vista or Xp! You decide!

XP. Because Vista plain and simple just sucks ass. I've had so many problems with it, and I've heard even more, I just couldn't stand having it after one day, so I just switched to XP :)
XP FTW(For The Win)

I would prefer XP over Vista, it takes up way too much RAM. But i'm still with Mac OS X Leopard ;). It's amazing!

Where is everybody? This should be way more popular!

I use Ubuntu Linux. And XP, sadly.

No Vista for me. I don't need to say why, we've all heard enough of that.

Gotta love my avatar!

I would say as you go farther back in Windows' history, the oldest versions of Windows NT are best.

UNIX-like OSes > Windows NT > Windows 2000 > Windows XP > Windows Vista > Windows 98 > Windows 95 > Windows ME > MS-DOS

Each version of NT became more and more bloated. XP wasn't really excessively bloated, but Vista is. I have no use for eye-candy, I prefer functionality.

XP for me. I like the look of Vista but a mixture of price, system requirements and stability reports have put me off getting it.

If you have a pen drive then you can also use it as a ram

Third parties are already developing software to implement this for XP; I don't know if they'll be successful, but even so XP doesn't require that much RAM to run. XP beats Vista by far if you love gaming at high frame rates!

I have Vista and I love it - apart from the millions of bugs it has scattered about... I also quite like Ubuntu Linux although I haven't actually used it for a while now.

The wording of your poll makes me say Vista - I have Vista, but not installed. (I'm waiting for a new PC before installing Vista.)

I prefer XP over Vista. Mainly because XP requires less RAM and it is a better gaming OS. Some older software isn't compatible with Windows Vista. XP is more 'stable' right now than Vista. Windows XP had it's last service pack released, fixing most bugs. Vista I believe had a service pack released that fixed MOST of the compability problems, but not all. I am sticking with XP right now because I know it all inside and out, I can probably use Windows XP in my sleep. ;-)

If I could go with all three, I would. I have Vista installed on my gaming machine, my desktop dual boots XP and Ubuntu, and my laptop has XP. I use Mac a lot at my school so I'd also go with that. But I voted XP! Far more reliable, stable, and just more familiar to me! :)

Vista has come a long way since the very first beta, but not far enough. I still have some trouble with gaming applications, but not near as many as before. Vista is really nice once you get comfortable with it. I run Vista on one computer, and XP Pro on the rest.

This was a really hot topic when XP was first released, too. It was junk for the first year, and now.......

I just gave a suggestion to improve the ram in vista.

Thought vista has many bugs, they will be solving it lately.

But personally i love to use xp,vista(apart from the bugs that creeps up), ubuntu.
