When I try to update or install various plugins in WordPress the following error appears:
( I am using Contact Form 7 as an example plugin )
Downloading install package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/contact-form-7.3.5.1.zip…
Warning: touch(): Unable to create file /tmp/contact-form-7.tmp because No such file or directory in /home/techkids/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 179
Warning: unlink(/tmp/contact-form-7.tmp): Operation not permitted in /home/techkids/public_html/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 503
Download failed. Could not open handle for fopen() to /tmp/contact-form-7.tmp
A similar problem is listed on WordPress.org here, and they suggest it is a hosting problem. Do you know how I can fix this?
