wordpress problem?

I installed WP on root directory, but still the same x10hosting page comes saying replace with index.htm and when logged to wp-admin this comes:

You need to upgrade your PHP version from Basic to Intermediate from the account management panel www.x10hosting.com/account

I have done that but same problem? Now I installed phpBB on root directory but still x10 page comes.

You need to remove the index.html file from the root folder.
