After the server issue last week I get the following error when going to my website:
"your PHP installation is missing the required MySQL extension required by WordPress".
I found the solution in another forum post. In the hosting control panel, change to another PHP version and then back to the original. That solved the issue for me.
It usually does, the cause stems from the software that allows you to switch in the first place, seem it needs a "reminder" of what your settings were to properly fetch the right version.
