I have installed Wordpress on my server. But no matter what I do so far, the email feature does not work. I have tried a number of email servers and I have even tried changing the email server to my internet provides email server instead of localhost. But no matter what I do, it does not work.

I am sure all my information is valid.

So if anyone could help me out, that would be very grateful of you.

What is the status as of now? Check in your cPanel. This will tell you better.

Well right now my account is Suspended. So at the moment exim is down, along with DNS. But this is the first time exim has ever been down for me.
Edit:
Alright fixed the suspended part. Now lets get back to work on this problem.

I'm using Wordpress 2.3.3 and everything is set to localhost. If you go into WP-Admin and look under options, is your email set to a valid address?

Mine is set to myUsername@hotmail.co.uk.

You could send me some screenshots of your CPanel SQL setup, an edited version of your wp-config.php file (REMOVE and username and password info) and a screen grab of the WP-Admin Option > General screen, I may be able to diagnose the problem from those...

Try setting it up with an email address you know works, then set up a new account within Wordpress as an Editor or Contributor, there comments HAVE to be moderated (make sure all your moderation options are correct too), post a comment to an article as you're new Contributor/Editor user and you SHOULD receive an email saying there are comments awaiting moderation.

What's you're URL??

Can you tell me what the errors are?

I have tried email addresses that work. I use them everyday. But for some reason it does not want to work with wordpress.

I would give you the url to the wordpress, but I don't want it getting out into the public just yet.

check your spam folder...

Ralf has a point, have you checked your SPAM folders out, failing that, could you PM me your URL, or send me some screengrabs of your WP-Admin screen (General Options)?

My installation of Wordpress seems to be working fine, so I can't understand why yours won't, especially without looking at any settings. You may be best of getting one of the moderator/account managers to sort this out, as there can be some un trust-worthy types who are just out to get login details out of people...
