Hey guys,

I'm new here, and so far, my experience is going great.

Although I did run into a problem tonight. I'm using wordpress 2.6.1 to power my site and I got my php updated to level 2.

When I go to upload images in my post, I'm getting an error saying that "it can't create the directory, are it's parent writable?". The parent directory is writable.

I've been using wordpress for a while and I've never come across this problem. I have the same version installed on my old server and it works fine.

Wordpress.org forums suggested that it has something to do with php safemode_on. Does the version 2 of php enable safe mode?

Safe mode is on and will not be turned off.

The privileges of the parent directory should be 777 for it to be able to create folders.
