x10 Free-Hosting Now Contains Pop-up Ads?

Hello everyone. I have been with x10hosting for about one month. Today, I went to my website and found out that x10 has added some pop-up ads. I am a bit surprised. I thought that only text ads are required for my advanced hosting plan.

Anyways, my question(s) is:

1) Are we going to receive more pop-up ads on our sites in the future?

2) Is there an option to turn off the pop-up ads on our sites?

I hope the pop-up ads won't continue. I think everyone agrees that pop-up ads are annoying to be on our sites.

Sorry to be a pain but the pop-up ads still exist on our sites. If you could please fix this, I would really appreciates it.

check you computer as well, because you may have something installed on your pc that is showing these adds not x10. Cause certain programs implement adds into pages by searching for words on the page that link to other sites.
If you dont have this then it is x10's adverts.

Yes, I'd suggest doing a spyware / adware scan.

I recommend Ad-Aware or Spybot.

IT looks as though Corey's sorted it on our end - so it is probably on your PC.

It is a great recommendation but I do not think its my side since StarShine experience the same problem. Anywhoo, I think Corey sorted the problem.

Please do not close this thread for at least one day to see if the pop-up ads will come back. I would really appreciates it.

my site does this too (if this helps) I dont really mind, but it happens to me.

The thing slides out from the left side for me, it doesnt actually open a new window/tab in firefox.

I think it happened to me today on these forums. Can't remember, but it was while I was reading this topic, maybe else where as well. I will tell you if it happens again. I will also tell you what ads were being displayed on the page as well

and btw, sometimes when the ad dont load, so does my web page too. So i have to press F5 and then, a banner comes and my web too.

for now, i have not more experienced this since you changed i presume

There is a banner on corporate, that's the play you have.
