X10 Hosting Is Terrible

X10 hosting was good for a first few years then they decided to move Chopin and stuffed everything up.

Lost my spot in google because they updated their index and my site has been offline for ages.

Yeah it was actually good for a few years, now when you do a simple thing on Chopin you get suspended for high resource usage. (Publishing a blog post)

But after this chopin problem my web site is offline for 3 weeks now and i have missed the google rankings too.

If it is not loading for you, you can flush your DNS and clear your cache.

As for you, deathlyrage, that is very misfortunate. I'm sorry you're not enjoying your services. I just loaded your Web site and it appears you do not have an index file...

No, This is all true, Mine got suspended for clicking a link to go to a page in mine. And now I cannot log into cPanel. This new chopin server has the be the worst. They should have stuck with starka

I'm very sorry you're having these problems. You may have better luck posting your Feedback here: http://forums.x10hosting.com/feedback-suggestions/ If you're using Wordpress or some other CMS, try disabling some add ons, as they tend to cause high resource usage.

The servers have been unstable during the move, do to the extremely high resources needed to move the accounts. Many accounts were suspended during the process. While this may have been a shock for users who have not underwent migrations before, the idea is that the servers should be stable and working better afterward. I have been with x10 through its best and its worst, and I guarantee you, it was much worse before. You have to have a little faith that the admins are constantly working to make your service better, and that they will eventually succeed (and they have).

If your account has been suspended for high resource usage, you can easily unsuspend yourself. If there is a problem unsuspending yourself (like I had), then create a support ticket.

I have to agree with the op. My account has been in good standing since 2008. I realize that the move caused alot of problems but the news updates are misleading in saying that chopin issues have been resolved. My site still isn't up & I can't access cPanel. My support ticket hasn't been replied to in 4 days. My first support thread about the issue was closed. It leads me to think that x10 doesn't care about its free customers after seeing things like "like it or leave it." Well I think 2-3 weeks of down time is a bit ridiculous so I most likely will leave x10. The thing I'm mad about the most is that everything I've been building for the last 2 years is practically gone. Sure I still have a mysql back up but as far as files and things I've stored in file-manager... it's gone.
