With all the migration mess (absolute mess) I moved my domain to another host. Nameservers were updated with my registrar. Pointer and DNS information removed from DNS with x10. More than a week later, x10 is still propagating a pointer for my domain to their servers.

I was told that in order to get this fixed, I would have to upgrade to a premium account. Seriously?

if you moved your DNS from x10hosting, how can it still be pointing to x10hosting.
unless you dont know how to change your DNS.

I removed the pointer and all other DNS-related information, the nameservers are set to my new host, yet the domain still points to my old host, nearly one week later. According to my new host, the most likely reason is that x10 has not yet made the update in their DNS.

I appreciate your answer, but the only possible answer isn't my lack of knowledge.
Ciao

I guess the longer wait is the cost of using a paid domain name on a free account,
especially when there is migration issues.

You wouldn't use Cloudflare, by any chance? If so, you have to change DNS there too.

Not a lot of help there spacresx. Criticism rarely fixes an actual problem. :)

i did not try to criticize,
i just never heard of a free host claiming youd have to pay
to get your paid domain name released from them.
ive had a paid domain name for over 10 years
and never had that happen with any of the providers i had.
but thats just me.

but the delay is likely because of all the mess with migration.

Michael Hinkle from customer support told me just that, and suggested that I post here to get help. True story.
