Like the majority of people here, I feel like I have an understanding of scripting and web development but lack in the definition department. For me, the best way to learn is by doing and seeing what works for me, which is why I opted for a free x10 hosting account.
I have now created my first SQL database, installed my first php script, and have successfully utilized swfobject.js to display an flv...until my account was suspended for not posting in the forums. Guess I should have read that user agreement more carefully!
Anyway, I look forward to the challenges that await and the gratification of solving a problem and seeing something I created/adapted come to life on the web.
