x10hosting Or 1and1

Would you rather choose x10hosting paid services or 1and1 paid hosting services. I would rather choose x10 because 1and1 has terrible support I emailed them about a server I bought from them they still haven't replied and it has been 3 month's. Then I called in and their people who answer the phone speak gibberish.. I can't understand what that person was saying.. 1and1 server's are really slow. I had a VPS and it lagged and lagged and they told me it was a 4GB server ended up it was only 500MB so I had to use one of my dad's. I am posting this topic is because this 13 year old KID told me over on AIM that x10 has slow INTERNET how does web hosting have to do with INTERNET. I think he isn't that smart of making the choice for 1and1.

I've never used 1on1, the only experience I have is using a host called 2surf.eu, I never even finished my site that suddenly and mysteriously it dissapeared....Anyone knows about it?

I can see your point, but it is interesting to find out what people have had problems with in past experiences. For example in a few years time when they might want to buy paid hosting, people can look at this topic, to find out their experiences with paid hosting websites.

i don't know anything about 1and1.... for me the greatest hosting i've evr tried is x10 hosting!

Not sure about 1and1 hosting but someone recommends that I should get a domain from them, one of the cheapest that offers whois protection. Opps, I just checked the website at 1and1, and I don't think they are offering free hosting. Anything free is only for 3 months.

x10 = has free webhosting
1 and 1 = has trial hosting
x10 = good staff, Ive used it
1 and 1 = bad staff
And there ya go.

I use 1and1 for my domain name (£2/yr ) and for mail handling (well, forwarding... just ships it to gmail.), and x10hosting for the web hosting.

x10hosting, though I did try out their domain registrar in the past, loved it, not it's bureaucracy.

When I searched for 'the best free hosting'. x10 and another called zendurl came up. Signed with zend first and was sorly disapointed. No staff anywhere to be seen. No methode of contact and no reply to e-mails to date.
signed up with x10 and had problems with signing up, tried again the next day and ended up with 2 accounts. Got suspended a week or so later for not having hosting linked to forums. Corey sorted this out in no more than a day.
From my min host experience, I definatly choose x10 and have had no need to look elsewhere.

I have never used a paid hosting service before this, but if X10 gives this much FREE....the costly site must be AMAZING! =000
