Hi
I am hosting my site on http://betterfuture.x10hosting.com/ecomatic.com.au/

In my domain manager (From where I register my domain) I have linked my domain name
ecomatic.com.au to
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

In cPanel (x10hosting) I have also added the domain as per in instruction video.

Now when goto www.ecomatic.com.au, it takes me to my site but in the browser URL shows the complete URL http://betterfuture.x10hosting.com/ecomatic.com.au/ instead of just www.ecomatic.com

Please help what am I doing wrong?

Kind Regards

vishal

The error seems strange . Did you get any error while adding addon domain.
Do you remember the path you gave while adding the domain as addon

Thanks Vishal for your quick reply,

While adding the domain mostly everything was defaulted I just picked my domain ecomatic.com.au

The path was auto selected as below
public_html/ecomatic.com.au

I didnt get any error when I added the domain. is there any other step which I am missing? I had the same problem in my previous domain www.fstore.com.au, but later I got fixed, I dont exactly remember what i did at that time to fix tht.

is there anything to do with .htaccess? (this is usually to get SEO friendly url)

Waiting fro your reply

It seems your home directory is emty.So upload your files in root directory and try parking domain.
First try as Boss Said.
(This is just a suggestion and not sure whether it will workout in your case.Usually addon domain only shows main domain name, and also wht you did is also correct.U havnt missed anything)

Hi, I backup .htaccess from folder "ecomatic.com.au" to my computer, and then deleted from the server "ecomatic.com.au".

this did not make any difference, i can still goto www.ecomatic.com.au, which takes me to http://betterfuture.x10hosting.com/ecomatic.com.au/

You think flushing DNS is going to make any difference? please help
