I swear, I had email trace in my account the other day, a feature I find quite handy and that was on the top of my most used features, did we really trade that for themes? (which is a lovely addition by the way, not worth the trade but still cool)
Mainly I find this useful to see why emails don't reach their recipient and why I'm not getting emails. (such as when I debugged why my old SMF install didn't send emails, I ditched the install since then but it was oh-so-useful, same for when I figured out why one of my scripts didn't send an email to my gmail inbox every time my personal computer generated an error (quite convenient to have a script that talks to my email and sends an email for me)
