I installed zen cart with fantastico...

I try to access the admin panel of zen cart and it is a blank page.

Is there something more I need to do?

Set the php global flag to on?

If so how do I do it or what do I need to do...

I would think the site would run and you could login as admin without issue but for some reason I am having problems ...

Manual install just hangs at installing database page so that dont work either.

I need help.
Ive tried both urls /admin and /admin/login.php directly.

This is my first time attempting to use zen cart and I will be greatful for any help that leads to progression.

There can be lot of reason for getting blank pages. For more information check the log files and get back with the error its logged there. Some of the reasons that i can put forth are
(1)You dont have a intermediate php. so request one from the x10 account panel.

The reason your manual installation is breaking may be because of the less query execution timing. I would better suggest you to install the application in your local system, then dump the sql files and then later import it to you hosting account part by part.

More over, please give the error messages (that is being displayed or in the log file) as well as the url for further instruction/help.

Ya.. account panel is www.x10hosting.com/login.

Once you login to the account panel, you have to scroll down and toward the left hand side you will find the request for php upgradation. select intermediate, fill in the reason why you want one and then submit. it will take some time as specified in the description there.

Just thought I'd let you know that I successfully installed Zen Cart on my site with beginner level PHP. I got a blank screen for the admin initially but after searching the forums found out I had to change a line of code. Refer to this forum thread for details http://forums.x10hosting.com/scripts-3rd-party-apps/80914-zen-cart-installation.html

I later upgraded to intermediate to take advantage of extra php flexibility

See my site here - only showcase mode at the moment
