ZenCart Admin Login just gives blank page but site works

Hi, I have a problem when I login to my ZenCart shop, I just get a blank white page and the browser is constantly waiting a response, If I view source there is nothing there.

The site worked fine a few days ago and no modifications to any files have occurred only a few changes to the SQL database.

The site work fine when viewing the shop mynewclobber.com

Something has changed and I dont know what, any help would be much appreciated.

I had this problem once with my own Zen Cart installation.
The store front end worked just fine but the admin backend was blank. No errors of any kind. Just blank.
This is not an issue with your x10Hosting service or the servers.
You mentioned that you made a few changes to the database.
Well, that is very likely the cause of your trouble.
When I had this problem with my own ZC install it was because I made some changes to the admin backend which were not compatible with the core program / installation.
Your might try posting in the programming help forum or the Zen Cart forums.

Thanks for the response, the main reason I asked at this time is because I noticed in an earlier post today that gbrasen37 had the same problem and I thought it maybe connected somehow.

The changes I made to the database were only to add a few products using the ZenCart built in PHP functions and they have always worked without error before and not sure why this would stop the login function from working, especially as I was able to login the following day without any problems.

Only difference between then and now is time.

Well, I might be incorrect with my diagnosis of the problem, but after reading your original posting it sounded precisely like a problem I had once which, frankly, was because I messed up something in the script. And, unfortunately, that was awhile back and I do not remember exactly how i fixed it, but I am sure somebody in the Zen Cart forums would be able to help you figure it out.

Due to the fact that your front end works and it is only the backend (admin) area that is giving you trouble, that is certainly going to be a script problem and not a server issue so there is not much we could do to help you here.

Good morning

I have done some considerable reading now on both this forum and the Zen forum and I am sure that the problem is due to x10hosting, as I said before I made no changes to the Zen Cart files prior to this problem of receiving a blank page after successful login at the stores admin area.

I notice from the posts listed below that several people are having the same problem in the last week or so with accessing the admin areas and in fact it turns out that this coincides with x10hosting disabling external access on port 80 (for good reason), and it is this I am sure is causing the problem with ZenCart and others.

To prove the point I used your Fantasico script to install a completely new shopping cart and database, I made NO modifications to it and just tried to login to the admin area and I get exactly the same blank white page (No html code).

So can we please have the ZenCart software added to your white list and whatever else needs adjusting in order for this to run out of the box.


The system has been working great up until this point so I hope this can be resolved.
