Wheres the option for "What the $!@%'s an iPhone" :p

Cause that's my option (no really, what the hell does an iPhone do that I'd both find useful, and that my laptop/pda don't do?)

I would get one, if it was Verizon.

I don't really want one. First of all, I've heard that the internet browsing speed is dreadfully slow if you don't connect via a WiFi network. AT&T isn't exactly known for having a strong mobile internet network, because it doesn't really have one. Also, $500 for only 4 GB? There better be a way to expand it (ie. SD memory?), otherwise you've only got about one thousand songs' worth of space, nevermind videos and pictures.

Also, did you know that the iPhone can't send picture messages? You also can't shoot videos, and there is no voice commands, which a lot of people are used to seeing in their cell phones.

I'm happy enough with my Samsung SCH-u740. It can really do everything the iPhone does, just in a cheaper, more basic package. Also, you can use micro-SD memory sticks with it to expand its memory capacity.

If you've got the money to drop on the iPhone and you don't mind giving up a few superfluous features that most other new phone's have, then the iPhone is for you. It is definitely an impressive piece of technology, especially the ability for dual-touch controls on the touch screen and whatnot. I would probably get one if 1) it was cheaper OR was about 30+ GB in size, 2) I didn't already have a Zune and a nice cell phone, and 3) if I didn't have to switch from Verizon to AT&T.

I CAN tell you, though, that I am quite sick of the dumb commercials they play on every channel on TV... "and this [pause] is a call [pause] on your iPhone" ... SHOVE IT.

I'm not going to buy it because of the price. I also think that the plans for it are a bit steep and limited.

LOL. Hey, AT&T is pretty cool! :p I've just ordered a Samsung Sync from AT&T on Thursday Night. So I should be getting it about Monday or Tuesday.

Illegal wire tapping doesn't bother me one bit; I figure why worry about it unless you plan on committing a crime?

Anyway, the only thing I don't like about ATT is the possible (and maybe already existing) monopoly they have for phone service. Oh, and purposely hiding the $10 DSL service that they offer (I had to click so many links just to get to it!)

On a more positive note, ATT refuses to give out IPs and customer names/addresses to the MPAA/RIAA regarding cease and desist letters ;)

Ya, who cares about wiretapping. I feel exactly the same as Erik does about that. And ya, my dad was telling me about that monopoly thing a day or two ago. Cuz they split up into like 5 different companies, and now they're all coming back together haha. But ya, basically, AT&T is L33T! :-D

It's not available in my country yet but even so, as much as I love it, I can't afford it. :\ It looks so snazzy. Though the rip off version from Meizu (I think it was) looks wayyyy better.

Is that the one that was on YouTube, and makes a Windows startup sound?

If it didn't require ATT cellular service

With the iphone unlocking it is now possible to use it with a lot more service providers (even if it doesn't work 100%). And I wouldn't buy the iphone because if I want a phone, I take a phone. If I want a pmp, I take it... I don't want something that half does it all.
