Usage Suspension [Question]

Hey guys, just got logged out of cPanel due to being suspended for high usage:

Username: sexylist Reason: Prolonged high resource usage. Account will be unsuspended automatically in 15 minutes. Suspension lift on: 25/11/2007









What i don't understand is, my page was trying to load for 10 minutes (while stoli has been REALLY slow and unresponsive) and it seems that i was suspended due to the fact that Stoli was under alot of stress, because i personally know that i wasn't using a high amount of resources...Is it possible that because my site was trying to load for about 10 minutes while Stoli was slow, that i was suspended incorrectly, i know its only 15 mins... im not trying to get out of it... i just am posting this because i believe that it seems people could be suspended if the server is under stress and there account attempts to load...

I keep getting suspended for the same reason, although I have no idea what I do to get that. :dunno: It gets really annoying when I'm trying to upload all my plugins and activate them in the WordPress CP, and suddenly I get banned for "prolonged high resource usage". All I'm doing is uploading through FTP and checking on my site every few minutes. But no, I'm not on Stoli, I'm on Cossacks.

Ohh, okay... Well...have you tried uploading less files at once? I think uploading some big plugins all at the same time might cause the problem. What i was saying, is i wasn't even using cPanel i was loading my website and i got suspended lol...

Still, you shouldn't get banned because the server's got an extremely high load and it isn't your fault. :thumbsdow

I think it's done to prevent the server from totally overloading... i understand it... although maybe they could make a better system than suspension... something that would just prevent you from using resources instead?

That's exactly what it's for. I agree, there should be a restraint system, or at least something similar, that kicks in when the server has a really high load. :lockd:

well if the server load was that high there should a 404 error instead so that it says that the page is not available because of the server getting overstressed from different pages trying to connect

I'm not sure what happens when the server is way overstressed, but i know that this time like i said, i was suspended, i guess my website trying to load while the server was under stress caused alot of resource usage, causing it to be suspended, but thats okay, at least i know i didn't do anything wrong. I got scared when i seen suspended.

All I can say about that is atleast it is a 15 minute susspension and not a 4 day one.

The suspension script suspends you for your account using excessive resources, not because the server has a high load.
