I've been suspended for a "copyright" problem [code = 4316CA5707A0] which I believe was due to embedding a YouTube video on a test site.

There is no unsuspend button on my account page, and no other apparent means to proceed.

I tried opening a ticket, but it never appeared in the list of tickets for my site.

I can cleanse my site of music, but then what ...??

Wouldn't it be a good idea to include an "unsuspend procedure" with the list of rules?!

Wouldn't it also be a good idea to "freeze" an account where the freeze is more easily thawed out that this entire suspension business?! Isn't it a bit heavy-handed.

[What's a trackback ??]

Thanks,

Paul

suspensions that are made due to serious breach of TOS are not unsuspendable, they are permanent suspensions.

If you are absolutely sure that you have nothing on your site that is a violation to anyones copyright you have the right to dispute the suspension and this thread will be escalated into ticket area. If an admin find proof that you do violate someones copyright the suspension stands, and your account remains fully locked.

Hi LadyAnna,

Of course I can't be 100% certain. I'm taking a Dreamweaver course and was testing the ability to embed stuff (Google maps, YouTube videos, mp3s (taken from YouTube), etc.).

The point is: I was acting in good faith, and whatever is the problem is it is completely inadvertent. If you look at the site it's simply trying things out, except for a section where I'm doing some pro-bono for a literacy center that wants to revise their site. I am not a hacker, and am certainly not up to any mischief.

I'd like to correct whatever the problem is but need it to be identified. One solution is to purge all audio & video, which I would be happy to do.

Since I haven't been "terminated", and only "suspended" I might conclude that there is a way for unsuspending -- but I need to know the procedure!!

Isn't this all a little Kafkaesque, or a big Catch-22.

Sitting here in limbo ...

Paul
