WebMail doesn't work

I create an email account in cPanel and tried to access the webmail via cPanel webmail direct link without login or https://domain.name:2096 with username/password login. Both links successfully log me in. However,
I can't or send any emails : all three webmail () complained "SMTP Error (-1): Connection to server failed."

How could I solve this?

worked for me on my server [ Level ] using my browser

but I had to use [ http://myaccountdomain.name:2096 ] - note HTTP and not HTTPS

No, tried FF26/GC31/IE10, if I used http instead of https, the webmail login page will complain and switch back to https once logged in. Still failed to send or receive emails.

There's no hosting account attached to the forum account you are posting from, please use the proper account so we can see which server your account is actually located on. If you don't know which forum account is attached, or wish to change that, please login to the portal and go to "Get Support" -> "Visit the forums". There you can see information about the currently attached forum account as well as get the option to link with an already existing forum account instead.
