When i try to sign up my account with cloudflare in Cpanel, it shows an error that says its already activated on another account, which is basically the entire X04 server. Is that the case, or is it just messed up ??

Is the full domain "tropicalfishtalk.x10host.com"? with x10host.com at the end?

That will not work on CloudFlare, we only work with the second level domain name.

domain.com
domain.co.uk
domain.org

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Eric L.

UPDATE: Well i was wrong about that. Deleted that account. and setup a new one using just x10.mx as the domain, and that dont work either. Have no clue whats wrong here, and apparently no one else does either, so to heck with Cloud Flare. Disregard any further.

Hi tropic23,

x10.mx will not work either, as x10.mx is still a (three-letter) subdomain, just like x10host.com. If you wish to use CloudFlare, you would need to purchase a Second-Level Domain from another registrar.

Just to illustrate what I mean by this, here are the domains you have listed, but with the final part highlighted and the second-level domain underlined:
domain.x10host.com - Will not work, as it is a subdomain
domain.x10.mx - Will not work, as it is a subdomain
domain.com - Will work, as it is a top-level domain
domain.co.uk - Will work, as it is a top-level domain
domain.org - Will work, as it is a top-level domain

Thank you,

Thanks for that explanation Dead-i , and i do understand all that, what i "dont" understand is, ive been here long enough to remember when CloudFlare did work on domain.x10.mx
But without getting into that can of worms any further, I guess it dont now, so that is that. :)
Again, Thanks :)

If that is true when you use cPanel's [ CloudFlare ] - why is x10hosting a "CloudFlare Partner" ? --> [ https://www.cloudflare.com/hosting-partners.html ]

I have no issue using a x10hosting free-hosting sub-domain like [ domain.elementfx.com ] - with CloudFlare - setup through cPanel

I do have issues with CloudFlare's support !

Hi bdistler,

If that is true when you use cPanel's [ CloudFlare ] - why is x10hosting a "CloudFlare Partner" ? --> [ https://www.cloudflare.com/hosting-partners.html ]
The fact that we are a CloudFlare partner means that we can provide the best CloudFlare options to our users, such as the "CloudFlare" button in cPanel, for instance. Customers can still use CloudFlare using our hosting service fine, but some issues do tend to arise should CloudFlare be activated with a free subdomain. If you added a second-level domain to your hosting account, either by purchasing it from us or somewhere else, you would be able to use CloudFlare with it through us. ;)

Interesting... I'm purely going off the CloudFlare issues we've had in the past here, and, from what I had heard, I assumed that CloudFlare wouldn't work with free subdomains, as
@tropic23 suggested. Hmm... o_O

Thank you,

When i first started using X10 free hosting before all the changes in the servers etc. Cloudflare was on the CPanel, and i could sign up using my account email address and the domain.x10.mx address, i actually didnt know you could even select others. But at any rate, more recently, i have been on X04 and when i try to sign up to Cloud Flare, it gives me the error that basically says that my account is already signed up on x10 and i cant activate it without a lot of go to their site, delete the association somehow, and then try it again in CPanel, which dont work because they say my account dont exist, and if i set one up there is no records of mydomain.x10.mx.
So.... I deleted my last account, on X04, signed up for a new one, and low and behold, my current one was assigned to x03 ??? but anyway Cloudflare does the same thing there.
Confusing ?? YUP !!. I really dont care if Cloudflare works or not, although i think it would be nice. im just a stickler i guess, and if something exists, or is an option on the free hosting Cpanel, i think it should work correctly, or be fixed. Just my humble opinion. :)
By the way, i just use free hosting because x10 is as good as any paid one ive ever used, and my area of interest "Aquarium Fishes" is a dying breed on what once was a fantastically busy venue, so why pay to be lonley :) Now even the big sites are mostly dead, and all the fish keepers have gone to Facebook etc. and use smart phones LMAO. Im an old guy and use a Jitterbug phone :)
So i guess the moral of all this jabber is, if you can fix it cool beans, if not blah blah blah. And for the guy with the big ban hammer here, i only ever have 1 active account at a time. :)
