OK thanks for the suggestion and I think you are correct. I have been in the habit of updating the website from my work computer and it seems the institution has moved to block those ports sometime in just the past couple months.

Hello, I'm still unable to load the cpanel login page... it just times out. I have tried http://cpanel.kolaporeuplands.x10hosting.com as well as port 2082 and port 2083 on stoli but nothing works. Meanwhile I can still load my website, except today but I notice there's some other stuff going...

Sorry I should have mentioned that detail: The cpanel link on my account page and the 2082 port URL both time out while loading. The cpanel.kolaporeuplands.x10hosting.com URL redirects to x10hosting.com. So, I haven't been able to attempt a user/password login even.

I have not been able to log in to cpanel for about a month or so, ever since that flurry of service activity on the various servers. I can log into my account page, but when I click the button to login to cpanel, or else type the cpanel url directly into browser and try to login, the page hangs...

I have this same message, was working the last time I checked a day or two ago, but not now. In that time there hasn't been any user input to the forum that could have caused it to get corrupted. I checked config.php but can't see any problem with username or password.
