I had the same problem a few weeks ago. It turned out there was a problem with mono. Check the Link Boss posted, but the helloworld tutorial you're following should work if mono is running... it did for me. If not, its probably worth asking the staff to check mono. TAO

Boss, You and the other advocates are doing a great job of keeping people updated, but surely you're getting fed up answering the same questions over and over again simply because the staff are not providing accurate or frequent updates? TAO
