There really is no way to create a truly "legal" private server for retail games such as WoW. In some cases when a game gets shut down the only way to play it is through a private server. Even though they are technically illegal the developers wouldn't sue the operators.

Castle Crasher, and Symphony of the Night should be a good contender. I've heard good things about Splosion Man as well. Oh and Battlefield 1943 is awesome as well. I have Duke Nukem and while it's fun, the game is pretty dated now. Unless you really liked it years ago and need to play it...

I'm pretty sure laying fiber optic lines is an expensive task. Usually a phone or cable company does it.

Macs are great if all you want to do is work related things. Recently macs have been getting more games but overall they still are not the best platform for gaming. If school is his primary concern then macs will do. Linux is not an OS I would recommend to a student or even a gamer. It's fun...

Moved to Computer and Technology

I've had a dv6602nr for two years and it worked pretty well. No real major issues. That said we've gotten a dv2200 in at work a few days ago and it had a fried video card. As for Sony laptops...I've always considered them over priced so I steered away from them.
