This is really only a question you can answer yourself. Saying that, what is your main goal with the site, why do it in the first place? After visiting it, it's powered by Wordpress, so that's cool... It's obviously an easy to read, view, etc site so it's not like burning my eyes to look at it...

Other recording software take what they're recording and remix it, compress it while it's recording... obviously this is bad for your cpu and your fps if you're playing a game. So, Fraps is designed to not do that, and instead it just dumps raw video and audio into a folder of your choosing...

Depends on what I'm doing, so like, if I'm playing a game and I want to record it, I use Fraps, if I'm doing something totally different such as recording a powerpoint presentation, then I'll use Camtasia.

It's clean, it's nice to look at, but... I would strongly suggest you make sure that all news posts made to the rotating slider are all relatively the same size so that when you're looking at the page you don't have to try to find your spot again because the entire page moved thanks to that...

I'm wondering how old this machine is... Over time laptops and netbooks develop strange quirks and frankly, there's really no telling what it may or may not be if that's the case but I can say this, it sounds like it might be a short, or if the machine is say closing in on two or more years old...

Frames shouldn't matter, the CSS suggestions above will work, providing you link the CSS to those pages loading in the frames. Although, if you're putting someone else's site or page into that frame, then no, you don't have much control over it other than a Firefox extension that allows you to...
