I think the red is okay... But the colour goes way too bright, do you understand what i mean? I think you should add another on or two colours to the scheme too, otherwise the layout looks quite good.

Providing credit card information is usually required to prevent spam (which is really bad for a domain network) and to prove your identity and age otherwise you would probably to able to make a domain from different computers every year and the system just wouldn't work, don't you think.

Well for the looks the best thing to do would be to hire someone to create a good looking template that suites your needs with a good layout and colour scheme.

Simple, but effective design, perhaps you should try using a div center to center the whole site as it would look much better then give the background a light green colour and you have a fair amount of content too which is good so overall I would give you a 6/10.

Try and get into all the major social bookmarking sites and get it into all the major search engines... This is all SEO. Advertising can be done too but it's not ALL about the advertising.

Re: Get a free domain name. Yeah I've always known about this, I think co.cc is better because you get full control of the domain and I think you can make money from it? You could even link it to your x10 account if you wanted :).
