You don't need to delete anything in the root directory, most of those files are important for hosting, logs, cPanel and security. The public HTML folder is where you should put all your site's files, including your index.

Have you tried changing the site's domain name set in the configuration for your CMS. That should be the problem even though I've never used Drupal.

There's many advertising programs you can find on the internet, but the one to use is completely your choice, making the wrong choice could end up with not making as much money as you would have with a different program so be careful for which one you chose. I would suggest AdBrite or Adsense.

That would be hard, I'm not sure if that kind of thing is allowed on x10 but I can ask if you want. Making a big company like that requires a lot of money and skill. Sorry I only like to design full templates because I don't have a lot of time on my hands for the small things - really sorry.
