You will not be able to run it, as non-standard web ports, including the IRC port are blocked on the free servers. On the other hand, you can have a cron that regularly gets a log from your computer that your IRC bot dumped on your computer.

for joomla, you are using the php mail() function, not smtp. As for the SMTP settings, are you sure you added the user to cPanel and are using the settings that where reported there.

What is the SMTP settings you have for joomla, and what are the settings for joomlatag?

If you says that, using the exact same settings, joomla can connect but not the helpdesk, then it's a problem with the helpdesk code, not our servers.

Can you try using FTP, as frontpage extensions and webdisk are not as consistent as FTP on the servers.

What is the address in the URL? Are you referring to the user account control panel or cPanel?
