Yeah... there have been a lot of these since they updated the MySQL version. Unfortunately, it's been a lot of downtime. I hope it stays stable.

Hmm, whatever changed in the past 24 hours has fixed it! I'll post again to this thread if the issue recurs.

It is still localhost. I verified that after I saw the transfer, making sure they didn't move it based on an old archived version of the site. Edit: Tried it, didn't work :( Any other ideas?

I had the same issue. The flaw was that if there is any information populating the database (even one entry that is null data), you cannot write to that database. Glad you got it corrected!

Have you set up your MySQL database through the cPanel yet? I believe once you've created it, the DSN is provided. I installed phpBB3 manually the other week, and I remember it giving the DSN during creation. Good luck!
