    Playstation 3 NO aV

The only reset that I'm aware of on the PS3 is holding down the power button for 10 seconds I think. That will get the PS3 to re-detect the video input. Otherwise, I would have no suggestions

    Need urgent help rendering

You already know what kind of specs I have to play around with. Right now I have an i7 running at 3.5Ghz (overclocked) along with 2 GTX480s and a GTX280 soon to be replaced with a GTX480. I'll just have to download Autodesk Maya. If you can tell me what you're rendering, it'd give me a better...

    Is hyper-threading really necessary??

If I'm not mistaken, the Pentium 4s support MMX instructions as well as SSE 1, 2, and 3. There's no true benefit from HyperThreading other than the fact that it helps to speed up calculations slightly. Nothing else to it, and obviously won't make a single core processor act like a dual-core...

    Feedback/Suggestion

File download sites, image hosts as well as Adult oriented websites would be dealt with via a suspension. It's going unmetered mainly so users no longer have to worry about a bandwidth limit or disk limit. Of course, there's a huge difference between unlimited and unmetered. As of right now you...

    cPanel unlimited space?

It's intended. At the beginning of June, every account will be getting unmetered disk/bandwidth.

Microsoft dropping support for Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2.

I actually have an older AMD K6 machine sitting around here. It's on the network and I have Ubuntu installed on it too.

Microsoft dropping support for Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2.

Why did you download an OS that's going to be unsupported in literally a month from now? Software companies began dumping support for 2000 over a year ago, even though it is a great operating system. I'd point you at Linux right now. Take Ubuntu 10.04 LTS for example. It runs smoothly on 256MB...

Hi there, sometimes I cannot open my website

I'm seeing a Database Connect error, so the site is loading at the moment. I believe MySQL might be having some trouble on some of the servers.

    How fast is your Internet?

You can pull fast results over very long distances. I can max out my 7.1Mbps to a server past 3,000 miles away. Good chance it's a simple case of boosting the receive window unless that is his true speed.

Site verry slow, ore not loading etc

@vipermt: Your cable connection looks healthy to me. Nothing wrong with it. The only issues I'm spotting are off of your ISP's network, mainly on the Cogent network which is appearing as some packet loss. Generally it is somewhat normal at that far of a distance, but even then, the ping spike...

how long does it take for a domain registrar to point to x10 name servers?

All depends on the register as well as the DNS servers and settings people visiting your site are using. For me, I can hit a DNS update almost immediately after a person applies an update to it. Others, yeah, may take up to 2 days to get the change.

What if we had forums in the 1990s?

Newsgroups? Basically they had something like this. You had a newsgroup server or a cluster of servers, where you gathered a list of groups and in there were topics. Back then, all they had were dial-up modems for the most part. Attachments could be used and such, but it was really all text. But...

CoD: Black Ops to get Dedicated Game Servers

That's always good news. Treyarch doesn't want to step down the path IW did. PC gamers such as I were angry about the changes that Infinity Ward did to Modern Warfare 2 and the lack of dedicated servers.

    Have you ever played Garrysmod?

Yes! The gaming clan I'm in is a Garry's Mod clan. We run our own game mode :)

    Which browser?

I think he meant IE8 is the best out of all of the versions of Internet Explorer (6,7,8). IE8 is pretty good. IE7 was pretty good too, but it had some issues with some rendering of pages. IE6 was hit or miss. Most sites at the time needed separate Stylesheets for IE6.

    how many visitor per day

My human visitors or total hits on the site? Human visitors aren't much. I'm estimating around 10 or so people a day, most coming from search engines, one or two of those humans might be me. The rest are generally search engine spiders crawling around.

    The 'N' word!

I'm sure most people these days are fine with some of these discriminatory words. The real issue really comes down to people just being a bit rude or should I say, having too much pride in oneself. The offensive part of the word is of course due to the history itself that the Black race has been...

AMD or INTEL for a new purchase ?

I have a laptop from Dell that has the Intel GMA 4500MHD. I'm rather surprised to see that it's managing some modern games with many of the settings maxed out, even if the frame rate isn't ideal. Obviously it's not as fast as my desktop's SLi set-up. If I'm not mistaken however, if your friend...

Microsoft dropping support for Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2.

I don't have any set in stone guide for setting up a Linux server, but if you know how to use the Terminal and can configure software through a command line, or perhaps editing it with a text editor it's all that is really needed to set up a server. Do some Googling around for the programs you...
