Microsoft dropping support for Windows 2000 and Windows XP SP2.

Just to give you all a heads up, in about a month Microsoft will be fully dropping support for Windows 2000, which was on extended support, and Windows XP SP2. If you are running Windows 2000, I suggest a move to Linux if it's possible for you to do so as PCs that old will probably not run...

AMD or INTEL for a new purchase ?

The desktop I'm sure is outperforming the laptop in every aspect. Might be the way you guys have your hardware tuned and software set up that makes the laptop seem to be quicker. Either that or your friend is simply not utilizing his quad/hardware fully.

DeskJet F4435 on TrendNet TE100-P1U URGENT!!!

Definitely find a way to check the server with another printer to make sure USB lights up. It's hard to imagine that it would just stop working with a printer all of a sudden even with a bit of tinkering to it.

DeskJet F4435 on TrendNet TE100-P1U URGENT!!!

Can't think of anything off of the top of my head. Does the unit have any form of built-in diagnostics? Does it give any interesting readings?

DeskJet F4435 on TrendNet TE100-P1U URGENT!!!

Do you have another printer to try using on the print server? We need to rule that out as well since you have ruled out the printer's USB port already by verifying it works with a PC. Also, check to make sure the printer ports are correct inside of the PCs that use the printer. You can find that...

    IPv6

I can get IPv6 transport here through DOCSIS 3.0 cable (if it were offered in IPv6) and through my current connection if I pay for business rates and get moved off of the older DSL network. FiOS on the other hand, it's two miles away and they're running trials on giving people native IPv6...

Intel Core i5 661- Cool, affordable and fast

Pretty cool to see how Intel is progressing with these CPUs. I'm wondering how good of an Integrated GPU there is in the i5 in terms of benchmarking, compared to say an Intel x4500. I know it obviously won't be a dedicated solution, but for curiosity's sake. @krofunk: Not really much of an...

    IPv6

I asked Corey about the same thing, except instead of the VPSs or paid hosting, the servers for the Staff/Free Hosting to have IPv6 addresses as well. Reason I asked was due to the fact that I couldn't find any AAAA records for any x10Hosting name.

chinese mobile phone--what are legal issues

If it's not something involving the unlocking of phones or cases with trade agreements, it could also be an issue with possible interference that it may cause inside of the country. Now knowing better, I'm sure that is not the cause, but it's always a possibility should it not comply with...

    how to close a thread

Only moderators of a certain section of a forum or global mods/admins can lock threads. Free Hosting in the past was the only place where normal members could lock their threads. It was hardly used however. I'm not sure if it's still set to allow normal users to do that today though. If you do...

    can't find HelloWorld.aspx

The file does seem to exist. It's showing a white page for me when I attempt to view it. Is your ASPX page capable of being ran under the MONO project? x10Hosting uses Linux servers instead of Windows servers, so you need to verify this.

I missed Counter Strikes a lot!!!!!

I really miss the old days of gaming on the PC as well. Seemed to be far better back then. It was the time where games were great, game developers weren't trying to monetize or restrict modding, and also the time where everyone wasn't so busy. It was also the time where gaming was literally like...
