What the best way of dealing with online idiots?

Ban them, filter out what they say, troll them, or humiliate them. One of those will work.

    Runescape-Good or Boring?

I personally found Runescape to be boring. When I tried it out back years ago, I logged out a half hour into the game and left it. I'm not an MMO person, so meh.

Firefox users: Do you like the new Tab behavior in v 3.6?

I had to get used to the new behavior of the tabs at first but I do like the way it works. Helps to keep things organized when I'm researching things.

Post up the full IP settings which both PCs are using including it's Local IP address, Gateway, and Subnet. The last I checked the Location settings only matter if Windows Firewall is on...

    Network

Are you talking about something along the line of Internet Connection Sharing or file sharing? It'd help if we knew this info as it'd be easier to narrow down the subject. I consider "networking" to be of multiple definitions.

    Google becoming an ISP!

That's what happens when you have a "Fiber Optic" provider which happens to be a cable provider providing 50Mbps speeds to everyone through fiber to the node with Cable Modem. You get severe over subscription. Add in the fact I'm sure Virgin Media doesn't even have a global network and you have...

    Google becoming an ISP!

I'm sure some of the more Tech-oriented people have seen this already, however Google has announced today that they are going to be running fiber optic broadband to 50,000 to 500,000 homes in a community or two in the United States. They state that each home will get up to 1Gbps of connectivity...

    x10, and you?

I found out about this host from another website which was hosted here years ago. When I finally decided to move off of my home server so that I'd have some bandwidth to play around with rather than a server saturating the upload, I considered x10Hosting and they seemed to be the best choice at...

    adware? malware?

My network has never allowed ads since I first set it up to run off of a Linux PC. But if you don't like the Kontera ads the link to the file is below. Tell your browser/no-script plug-in to not allow this script to load. http://kona.kontera.com/javascript/lib/KonaLibInline.js

    Dynamic DNS service

www. on my DynDNS account happens to work and I'm not even paying for it. I don't even think I set it up in the DynDNS control panel. It worked just fine on my home server too back when I ran it full time too just as long as I had the server set to listen for requests as if it were a sub-domain...

    Direct X 11 Graphics Cards

Smith supports this post 100%. I hate cheap hardware! It's always the stuff that fails or underperforms a year later. In the case of PSUs with high end GPUs, it definitely messes with the GPU after a while.

How much RAM do you have?

You can try using Physical Address Extension on your Windows XP 32-bit box until you get upgraded to 64-bit :). Take note though that you need to edit the Boot settings under My Computer > Advanced Settings, so do so carefully! Also it may cause some driver issues.

    Tcp_error

Your website is loading up at the moment for me. It might be possible you're seeing some server maintenance that is still going on. The last I checked PHP hasn't been finished in updating yet so that might still be going on.
