If you are using the username macaws you want to upload into the folder public_html. ftp1@smms.x10hosting.com goes to the folder /public_html/ftp1

Use the username macaws to connect. I'm assuming you were using ftp1@smms.x10hosting.com which goes into a subdirectory.

Stoli's apache is currently offline. It may be that Google Web Accelerator is giving you a cached version of the page. Try disabling it and seeing if your site works then.
