I'm guessing you've got a UPS. We've got a similar set-up, our router is plugged into our UPS, and if nothing else is using it I can be online for a good couple of hours before the batteries go flat (I've got a laptop.)

If you don't advertise your site, then you will not get many visitors. When I first started my website back in 04-05 I didn't advertise, and the only visitors I got where my friends. Now links to my site are in all my posts, and I use the x10Exchnge banner exchange and I get around 150 unique...

The way you can tell is by glancing at them and moving your eyes around. They sometimes appear to move but not always. Those sorts of optical illusions are very cool.

It doesn't look too bad, except that in Firefox 3 there is a gap between the header and the menu. There is also a lot of blank space at the bottom. It's not a site I would visit myself. But I will give it 8/10.

It may also be a good idea to use the full path to the files (/home/username/public_html/ ..........) This is supposed to speed up PHP execution slightly, but it probably won't make any noticeable difference.

Those are cool optical illusions Mitch. I'm sure some of the stuff on YouTube is faked but I've found some that definitely aren't. All optical illusions are tricks.
