Nice simple design - like it a lot. The fixed background actually woks well here. I'll try it later on my Droid!

    Small css problem

Hope this is simple lol. I have a fairly standard layout with fixed width #wrapper and auto padding left and right. I am trying to get a status bar div to sit over a header image (z-index 2000), but it is stuck relative to the right of the browser edge.. not the wrapper. In effect, when the...

    Page css opinions??

Thanks. The only reason for the form incluson is to test the css styling - my whole site will be in this style if I decide to go with it. The only problem area I have is the rounded corners (using classes hc, hr and hl for the top and br and bl for the base) - is this OK? Also, I am having...

    Page css opinions??

Thanks for the feedback - any negative comments? Critique of the css structure (which I have kept in the head of this html page for ease of reference).

    Page css opinions??

Not so much a site review, more just a page! http://www.freecrm.x10hosting.com/css2/csstest.html This isn't based on a template and has been tested in IE7 and FF only. IE6 users should wake up now, its 2010! The way I have angled it it to use the lime green as an accent color for anything...

Perplexing PHP mail from address not getting through if major domain like yahoo

gmail is pretty good at receiving mail, but yahoo and others are more sensitive and check if the source is the same as the "from" I also tried X-sender, but this doesn't work all the time either. There are also a number of mail servers that have blacklisted mail coming from x10 servers. I...

    Count number of users online?

This could be very simple.. Each login creates a session (if you are using sessions i.e. you have session_start() at the top of the page) You could then just count the amount of active sessions. /* Define how long the maximum amount of time the session can be inactive. */...

    php alert system?

In an ideal world, e-mail by default and pop-up if signed in. The events are stored in a table related to the contact/user parent table. I can sort of see where you're going with this, but do I need to add the additional "over" field - plus, doesn't this just update the status of an event - I...

    php alert system?

I already have a fairly successful site running a free CRM system; however, many users are asking that it alerts them of pre-set events. I have a start time and duration (epoch values). Do I have to create a cron job running every few minutes or is there another way? I have no idea how to...

    new web site

TBH, I'm not keen on the body background fixed.. As posted above, there is no coherancy here - just a bunch of different parts thrown together on a page. You might like to figure out a design that looks good on say photoshop and then work out how to get the css to make it look like that. Not...

    Cloud Tag??

Not sure how to program one from scratch, but there is one at www.webconfs.com This is the code to put on your site.. <table border=1 width=500px bordercolor='#808080' bgcolor='#F3F3F3' style='border-collapse: collapse' cellpadding="5" cellspacing="3" > <tr> <td> <form method="POST"...

    email form

LOL - ctrl+N The select blank php type. The reason for Outlook opening is the "mailto:" tag which opens the users default e-mail management system. As kbjradmin says above, the php mail system will carry out the operation on the X10 servers so doesn't require a client-side app.

    DB name problem

To minimise conflicts with other DB's, X1- does include the username prefix - there's nothing you can do about this.

    Internet Explorer

I like your style, but unforunately, when you're designing for a client, we have to accept that may users still use IE6 Just done a quick export from Google Analytics over the past month for reference. 1. Internet Explorer 1,470 72.92% 2...

    Review My Site

Oooookkkk! I was testing in IE6 to see if it was compliant that's all - you did ask! As for the image elements - I refer to the textual ones and link ones and logo ones in the header area! The footer isn't too bad. As for the anti-aliasing... I have CS3 and it seems to do a better...

    Review My Site

OK - you want honest - honest here we come... General Appearance is very amateurish for the following reasons: Although you have the right width set, you also have a fixed height for instance in my browser, cuts off unexpectedly at the bottom. This problem permeates through the content...

    What CMS do you suggest?

Aaaarrgghhhh... CMS....Nooooooo! I have to admit, I hate CMS systems. They are restrictive and prevent you from really understanding what happens in the background. That said, Drupal seems OK, but like Leviathons says, it depends on your needs.
