I don't work for x10 but my guess would be that accounts created with a VPN have a history of abuse. There's also this thing about accessing multiple accounts from a single location (a VPN). Check the TOS link at the bottom of the page.

Files are cached. See https://x10hosting.com/support/general/varnish-cache cPanel --> Software and Services box --> Cachewall --> here you can turn it off, purge the cache and enable dev mode.

You can use explicit FTP over TLS, but it's mostly restricted to FTP and "local" MySQL (phpMyAdmin, etc.). No shell access.

Based on the error on the bottom of your site, you may want to check the permissions of your public_html/automaticbacklinks_cache folder (or you're 100% out of space)

I'm not even sure where to begin. Since you have unlimited disk space, how are they supposed to extend unlimited? I've had a WordPress site with x10 for 1.5+ years and am only using 15,403 of 50,000 inodes and 202.88 MB of 512 MB. My usage is the attached image. What does yours look like?

cPanel --> Files box --> Disk Space Usage --> Sort directories by: Disk Usage

Is this with a manual install of WordPress or are you using Softaculous?

Can you try changing your PHP version and seeing if that makes a difference? cPanel -> Software and Services box -> Select PHP Version I'm starting to run out of ideas. Also try this hello.php file (in hello.zip) and see if that works.

Are the permissions on your public_html (or wherever crosstrainedmind.com points to) 755? Did you try renaming the file to htaccess.txt?

Check your .htaccess . If you are not familiar with it, try renaming it to htaccess.txt and see if that makes a difference.

You can ask for additional Disk Space (not inodes), but there are some limitations. It's kind of iffy on galleries.
