Anyone here have a home server?

Just get yourself a NAT router. It's better for your PC's security as well as for the server. Pretty much everyone I see running directly out of their cable modem I suggest they get a router, even if they don't need it as the NAT itself is what provides a lot of extra security. They run for $20...

    1000th Post Party

Corey probably already jacked up his post count . All he needs to do to stop you from going over his count is reset/edit yours

    1000th Post Party

Your next goal should be the goal I'm shooting for, which is getting a post count that is over 9000!

I signed up 3 days ago but my account still hasn't been created

There have been some issues going on with the Starka server. Perhaps this was the server you were assigned to, in which case your account should be created shortly as the queue was just started up again.

All I see is this on your site.

    Sappin' mah bandwidth?

That's fine. Expect them to take a few days though, sites such as Bleeping Computer get a lot of posts a day for cleanup, and it can take a long time to read those logs sometimes.

    Need Help!!

Removing the CMOS battery + holding power button for 20 seconds = system owned. Linux can also override folder permissions within seconds using the right terminal command should a folder not be readable and some distros don't even bother to read the permissions and just opens/edits the files. If...

    Xbox or Playstation 3?

I believe there were issues with the motherboards warping on the Xbox 360s. I've seen a few Xbox 360s where it's as easy as re-soldering some parts to the Motherboard or re-applying the heat sink and it is all fixed up.

    Problem with Add-on domain

OK, I'll escalate this topic to staff since it seems as though they need to correct this for you.

    Lotus down?

Lotus is online as I'm sure you know. Sometimes things will go down on the servers, but they do come back online within a few seconds.

What is my FTP Host,Port, And Root?

Did you register your domain name yet with co.cc? I'm getting a "Domain Available" page when I see that. Also, because of that you're not resolving to x10Hosting's servers. If you have an x10hosting provided domain name, try FTP'ing with that for the meantime until you get your co.cc domain...

    Why the log is empty

It might be related to AWStats being disabled. The error log I know is working.

    Problem with Add-on domain

OK. If it still doesn't work and spits up the same error, we can escalate this topic to Staff.

    Problem with Add-on domain

Is this screenshot below your website? Your domain is pointing towards x10Hosting's Lotus server. For what I know I'm not aware of any issues with domains on Lotus, but if reapplying your domain settings in cPanel doesn't fix anything up, a staff member will need to take a look at things.

Too Many Connections? - What On Earth Is Happening With Starka?

I've seen High Resource usage come out of failure to connect to MySQL. Back when x10Hosting had that failure of a MySQL experiment last year, that was the only time I had gotten my account suspended for an hour for high resource usage, and that was due to the fact that my script spent more time...

    Who Here Grabbed Windows 7?

I can boot Windows 7 up in 15 seconds or less pretty much on my PC inside of a virtual machine. The install though does take some time, and I installed it going from a mounted ISO on another RAID array to the virtual machine running off of my primary RAID array (the same one Vista was running...

    my bad experience

Well, while this may seem to be a spam topic, I can start a little discussion about this. The problem with wireless carriers these days is that they cannot agree on a universal technology to use, and they cannot agree on giving you a locked down phone. Take a couple of the US providers, most...

Anyone here have a home server?

I run a home server here from a Linux box from time to time, and before I moved to x10Hosting I ran a home server for 2 years off of a Linux box. If you need help I can surely help you, as hosting in Windows is a bit easier than in Linux. Just tell me what you need help with specifically first...

    Sappin' mah bandwidth?

I've never tried editing the registry from Linux so I wouldn't know. In that case your best bet is to try safe mode or a boot time scan, or perhaps HijackThis!/SUPERAntiSpyware to remove it. I'd try SUPERAntiSpyware first as it does have the ability to kill threats in memory (given you set it...

    Need Help!!

If you tap F8 right after the POST screen you should be able to boot into Safe Mode and gain access to that Administrator account, given it's not passworded. If it is passworded, I'm not sure if Microsoft patched this or not but you can boot into a Windows 2000 disk's recovery console which will...
