No, localhost would not work. The server is always mysql-servername.x10hosting.com. Have you tried using softaculous to install Wordpress? That's quicker and your less likely to get errors. You can find Softaculous in your cPanel under "Software/Services".

The top header with the image of an animal has like nothing to do with the overall subject of your site. Also there's a small iframe box at the bottom which is displaying a reported attack site. You have a lot of adverts on your site which possibly makes it a bit annoying to read.

Not really liking the images that follow the cursor, thier not very realistic. To be honest you need to change your site a lot - get a template maybe and work from there. Thats jusy my opinion though.

Make the background a bigger width, because on my 17" widescreen the background stops/starts again which looks untidy. The forum logo-writing also looks like bad quality - change that. The forum/homepage don't really "go together" if you know what i mean, they look like two completely different...
