I'm not really in the mood to debug it for you, but just looking at the source code, I see some markup errors, try running it through an XHTML validater and fixing those errors.

I would change your logo, from the black to a different color (perhaps that green you used in your favicon). Your featured site line on the updates page (which is black) is hard to read against the dark gray. Maybe turn your logo into a link, it would help some with navigation. Some sort of...

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to review. Looks like the default Joomla template, and there isn't much content. I would look into downloading a new template (or better yet, making a custom one,) and adding a heck of a lot more content. Also, I would change the favicon if I were you.

I like using Wordpress. If you know what your doing, Wordpress can become an extremely powerful CMS. Its easy to add pages and such as well, which makes it nice to use if you are making a website for a client.

I see the problem :). I am still have quite a bit to learn and making a portfolio was just one of the things I wanted to try. As for finding a graphic designer, that would be a little hard, I have no money, heck I can't even drive yet :D. The objective of the site wasn't really to get hired...

I was planning of changing the background, but I hadn't made the final choice yet. I have no experience with typography, so I know that thats a bit touch and go. As the the photo, you see a lot of portfolio's with the designers picture/sketch on it. I think it gives the site a bit more...

The white text on the green background is hard to read. Other than that it looks okay, I would consider adding some something else to spice up the design a bit.

You shouldn't have any problems. As long as you don't have/link to any illegal material, you should be fine.

And thats bad? Quite a few people may have problems seeing smaller text.

I am sort of confused. I have a 1024*768 monitor and I looks fine to me. As for small images, what do you mean by that? My images add up to only be 32kb.

Okay, for one, your site does not work in my screen resolution. (which is 1024x800). Two, WAY to many drop shadows, or at least they are way to pronounced. Not a fan of the white background, personally, and your corner shadow thing next to your nav bar doesn't look very good either.

Hmm...The text about me is suppose to be that size to act as an emphasis about who I am. The text text is going to change, so I never bothered to edit the font properties.
