    It seems like there is some kind of issue, as I can't access your site either and it timeouts on ping, but cossacks answers... I have notified an admin to check it up. OP, could you try to ping your site from your computer, not from an online site, as that will give wrong results?

    The paid servers are generally faster, as there isn't as many users on them, and you are allowed to use more resources, like CPU usage and memory usage. The speed of the site also depends on the script, if it is optimized or not

    Proxies are against the Zero Tolerance policy, and even if you didn't have a proxy, chat scripts are against it too, no matter if they use mySQL or not

    If you want to upload files using FTP, you'll need to get a FTP client if you haven't got one already, like the FileZilla client. Then, use your domain as host, and your cPanel details to login with. Also make sure you aren't blocking port 21 in your firewall
