    dreamweaver problem

If you're on Vista, Dreamweaver 8 has been known to have conflicts with certain components of Office, specifically Groove. I uninstalled it, and now mine works fine.

    Just a quick design...

Not bad... but it seems a little too "gray" for my personal tastes. Maybe giving the frame a little more color, especially with the palm-tree theme, would bring it out a bit more?

    x10Hosting Medal

I like the template a lot. Most of the reflective/shiny designs I see are entirely the stereotypical "web2.0" style, but you really have an original touch! Keep up the great work! :)

    Contact Lens Display System

This is absolutely fantastic. I've been a big supporter of transhumanism for a long time, and this is probably one of the single coolest things I've ever seen. This could have so many practical uses... like they said in the article, there are probably things one could do with that eye that...

    Did Obama buy his Election?

Honestly, every candidate tries to buy their elections. The old saying goes, "money is power," and this is especially true in politics. While there are safeguards in place that supposedly make it irrelevant, their realistic application is less stellar than on paper. I definitely think Obama's...

Microsoft goes over the clouds with Azure

As much as I like certain things about vista, I agree with everybody else on here that Microsoft needs to focus their efforts into fixing the remaining problems with it before branching out into other areas. Obviously, they have different departments for different projects, but I would assume...

kill a tcp ip connection in windows (XP)

If you can't close the specific connection for some reason, I would suggest reviewing your firewall's allow/disallow program rules, and prohibit everything that you aren't explicitly familiar with from connecting.

What software do you use to keep your pc run smoothly?

I've come to love Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. It seems to detect things that other antiviruses don't even pick up, and in half the time too. I just use the freeware version, which isn't a realtime scanner, but that's ok because it doesn't interfere with AVG.

'Drive-by downloads' getting more common every day

Anybody know what I'm talking about? I've done some virus cleanup/repair for certain friends and family members, and I've noticed that, almost universally, they (supposedly) didn't download and execute any files. Instead, they have learned that poor browser security plus a evilly-coded website...

    Warez or no Warez?

If all software was completely free, what motivation would exist for making it? Sure, you'd get the few people that thought it was their duty do "do something for the good of the internet," but do you seriously expect that software packages like Photoshop and Maya especially will come out of...

    Warez or no Warez?

I thought we couldn't talk about illegal content on here. Not trying to blow a whistle on you or anything - just maybe check that out since this is a sensitive issue. As far as the topic itself, I pay for all my software.

    Karma

I'm not a big believer in Karma, mainly because I'm a behaviorist at heart (only what can be observed can be evaluated). I can understand how some circumstances can appear karmic, but like anything, luck plays a big part in it. Then again, I like to keep an open mind, so if someone dropped...

What kind of games do you play??

I hate the label "gamer." I play video games, but not the kind that usually go with the stereotype. I love old-school adventure games, the kind that actually make you solve puzzles and think. Puzzles in most games are just "use red key on red door." Most (good) adventure games really push...

    Internet Explorer Vs. Firefox

IE is all I use except for cross-browser testing purposes. It loads up a lot faster, and is just as secure as firefox (regardless of what the hype says). I am personally sick of seeing everybody's firefox campaign ads on every website, signature, and forum on earth.

    A globe

Yeah, this puts your ball to shame. ;) The lighting is pretty sweet, especially since there's no lens flare. I like it.

    Nvu or Dreamweaver?

I use Dreamweaver, just because that's what's I'm used to - it's comfortable for me. I tried Nvu before I learned DW, but it always froze on me and was generally very unstable. Maybe I just had a bad version, but that experience sadly made me shy away from it.

    WHich is the best Antivirus

AVG is my personal choice, by far. It uses hardly any resources, and updates nearly every day. The coverage is equal to, if not better, than many of the big boys (McCrappy and Norton). I definitely trust my system's security to em.
