Corey had increased the memory limit on PHP to 64M a few months back. Apparently, some of the new servers have the memory limit set to the default 32M. The Admins have been made aware of the problem and should standardize the limit soon.

Users cannot edit php.ini , it is a server wide setting. But when the Admins complete the migration, they should normalize all the settings, so I believe that the limit will be increased.

Since he mentions php.ini , I assume he means uploading via a PHP script. The free servers are not consistent. Some have the upload max set to 2M, some 32M Some have max memory usage for a php script set at 32M, some at 64M. cPanel is similarly different server to server.

Interesting, which browser do you use? FireFox shows a blank page, but the source reveals the output. IE8 shows the output as text Chrome seems to show nothing in display or source.

When you run the page, look at the source (ie 'View Source" ) The output is there. Just not visible due to the fact the browser thinks < is starting an html tag and does not display it.
