Elitist, Racist AND Dictatorial Country Restrictions

Op - Your anti-USA stance is way more bigoted than even the outlandish claims you make of X10. You claim that X10 is profiling based on stereotypes, but base your claim on stereotypes. You sir, are a hypocrite and an ignorant one at that ;)

    laptop got moisture in rain

If all else fails, laptop keyboards are pretty easily replaceable. There's usually a plastic bezel right between the screen and the keyboard. It will pop off with a very small screwdriver, revealing a few screws on the metal plate which is the underside of the keyboard.. Remove the screws and...

    Problem with VPN DNS

I had a similar issue. It turned out I was signed in to the VPN from two locations at once. It doesn't sound like this is your issue, but I'll throw it out there just in case.

    Free VPN Service Launched

Oh, sorry. I don't remember that happening. I thought X10 assigned random passwords and made you change on login :(

    Troubleshooting connection issues

I *think* you would need X10VPN to port forward from your dedicated public IP to your private VPN IP, much like a router port forwards from your public IP to your private NAT IP.

    Computer RAM memory

That's very true. I probably should have mentioned something along those lines. I've had two instances though, where a stick of RAM in one DIMM was not detected and in another DIMM it was. The RAM was bad in memtest when it was detected. That's kinda what I was going for.

What Programming Language should I learn?

My suggestion is don't jump into this too soon. Developing a program is not an easy task. Learning a language takes time and dedication. Then you have to learn how to use the libraries that extend the language. Then you have to develop the program. If I could start all over again, I would...

Laptop, possible battery is not recharging? Battery is new.

The connections at the tip of the power supply cord and the connection between the plug on the laptop and the guts of the computer are very well known to wear out or break. Unfortunately, neither of these problems are cheap or easy to fix. Even worse, your old battery wasn't bad if this is the...

    Computer RAM memory

I'll throw in my 2 cents. Misson essentially said everything you need to know, but I'll add some details I've used to track down issues in some very difficult to find RAM errors. I would test all the memory. Emachines uses "economical" components that don't typically hold up as well as some...

    Free VPN Service Launched

Definitely. X10 doesn't do this for any of it's other services, so this may just be a part of the beta until a more robust system is implemented.

    Troubleshooting connection issues

Theoretically, if the IP address of either A) server1.x10vpn.com or B) your personal VPN changes, it makes sense to use a URL, which will not change. I'm merely pointing out that the URL system was invented to avoid the cumbersomeness and dynamic nature of the IP address system. I hope this...

    Troubleshooting connection issues

I don't believe you "use" the assigned IP address. Everything is done through the server (using either the url or IP; I used server1.x10vpn.com in case the server IP changes). The IP assigned is what your IP address will appear as to everyone outside of your NAT/VPN/etc. You also have to...
