Yeah, probably some updates going on at the moment. I had this problem earlier in the week and it went away after a few minutes.

What is your opinion about the best operating system for desktop/laptops ?

Funny you mention it, Windows, Mac, and Linux were all nearly identical at one point. I don't understand how any computer can possibly be better at one thing than another. Maybe if a Mac has better hardware, but that's not an OS comparison. Speaking of which, check out the price of a Mac first...

Latest update news thread response: 6/22/09

We need to implant a chip into X10 free user's skulls, so that they receive a small electric shock when they don't read the news, a large electric shock when they post questions in the forums that are answered in the news, and a lethal electric shock if they submit a stupid ticket. My idea >>...

What is your opinion about the best operating system for desktop/laptops ?

Ubuntu Linux is terrific and really doesn't require much command line knowledge. But, at the end of the day, probably about 75% of software is for Windows only which can be a huge problem with interoperability and convenience.

    Mail Function

Sorry, there's no ETA right now that I know of. Extensions that have been disabled are being re-enabled first, so I'm guessing that it will be this week. Check the news section for more updates :) http://forums.x10hosting.com/news-announcements/

    Mail Function

mail() is supported by X10. It is currently disabled while the servers are under maintenance. It should be restored soon. I've never heard of TegoNuke on X10.

    Shifting to a new domain

I made this tutorial on changing domains: http://unset-this.co.cc/2009/05/setting-up-your-own-domain.html I don't know if wordpress has a configuration setting for domain name, but if it does you will have to change that too.

    localhost/php/apache

acellec, I don't know if he has xampp installed, but I definitely recommend it highly :) If you installed Apache, PHP, and MySQL all separately, you need to edit your configuration files for Apache and PHP, methinks. I would recommend uninstalling everything and downloading xampp ;) The other...
