Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

I think once the staff fix CPanel for X10, it will be the best possible solution. CPanel does everything really well, in my opinion, it just so happens to have a very big flaw.

    last question, i promise, lol

php has the function strtolower() to make all letters lowercase and mysql has the function LOWER() which does the same.

It might be here: http://forums.x10hosting.com/payments.php I would not assume purchasing more time is additive unless you want to risk losing whatever time you have left ;)

    Can't connect to FTP

If it says "is available" you need to go back and double check that your co.cc domain is setup properly (you do have the correct nameservers" and your x10 account panel as well: http://x10hosting.com/panel.php -> manage your account.

    Can't connect to FTP

If you can see your site at co.cc your FTP should be working as well. double check your user name. Your created accounts will be like username@domain and the default account is the same as your cpanel login information.

Help me connect to my MYSQL

Double check your table name. You've listed two different ones now. Check that your user has privileges on the table as well. Go to CPanel->Mysql Databases and at the bottom of the page it will show who can access what.

Help me connect to my MYSQL

$SQLstring = "SELECT * acellec_automobileparts"; Needs to be $SQLstring = "SELECT * FROM acellec_automobileparts"; You can also simplify your while loop: while($row = $QueryResult->fetch_row()) { ....} And it's also important to make sure you have a valid result before trying to use...

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

Yeah, I see now what we're up against. It sounds like rehashing Apache is the perfect solution, but I'm guessing we're up against the same brick wall on that one too. I'm also guessing that there's no way to tell CPanel to handle everything except Apache as well, right?

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

Thanks, Russ! :) I'm glad the problem is not the same as I envisioned it, because I really was starting to think we were better off without CPanel. The real problem actually makes more sense, but it is much harder to solve :(

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

:) thanks. I've been spending my entire day picking my brain on how to accomplish this. Maybe the friendly people at CPanel will help us. I wouldn't think we're the only customer they'll (potentially) lose because they can't support such a large host without problems. The other solution I was...

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

Here's why CPanel takes so dang long to do everything: http://www.cpanel.net/documentation/easyapache/ea3_overview.html What if we found a way to run the CPanel routines before Apache is stopped. Presumably, Apache locks it's own configuration files while it is in use. But, what if we...
