    Domain Tranfser?

http://x10hosting.com/panel.php there's a section called "manage your account" (I think, I don't have a free account right now) you need to change your domain in that section.

    sql query

echo isn't the problem, the problem is PHP evaluates this: echo $var = $array['index']; in two steps: $var = $array['index']; echo ??? The ??? is what $var=$array['index'] is equal to. It's an expression, not a value. This would be what you want to do: $var=$array['index']...

    Does anyone have ASP.NET samples?

ASP.NET is fine to run here. The problem you will encounter is Mono supports .NET up to somewhere in between 2.0 and 3.5. If you can find an old .NET 2.0 tutorial, you'll be in good shape. A basic .NET "hello world": <%@ Page Language="C#" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0...

    SQL Lite Problem

Great :) good luck! (You shouldn't have two free hosting accounts by the way...If you do, submit a ticket and have one deleted. I wouldn't want you to get in trouble.)

    SQL Lite Problem

Sorry, I don't think the admins will do this for you. On the bright side, you only need to copy your configuration information and your new forum with mysql will be identical to the one on your computer.

Use of index.aspx as an index page?

CPanel made those tutorials, and by default, Apache doesn't come with ASP.NET compatability. My guess is they made the tutorial and ignored the possibility of ASP.NET. It probably sneaks all the .aspx at the end.

    can't upload site

There is a file there, but it is blank. You may be able to restore your site with the r1soft backup tool in CPanel. Edit: Now everything is gone.

    Bing

Yeah it is annoying. I thought it was going to be "bing, I had a great idea" or "I love Bing Crosby" or "Who likes bing cherries?" Search engine never crossed my mind lol

    Bing

I'm surprised they didn't launch this under the Windows Live banner along with everything else they've done recently. They seem to like using their name as much as possible in their products' names. Wonder where they came up with "bing"

    PHP 5 OOP Destructors (yuck)

Yeah, I tried to find a good PHP5 OOP tutorial, but I couldn't find anything really worthwhile. It seems like PHP OOP is taking a while for a lot of people to warm up to. I know that there's plenty of really sharp programmers here, so I figured I'd go straight to the experts :)

I guess Live search and MSN weren't enough? :P Well, it looks cool. I'd like to try it.

    PHP 5 OOP Destructors (yuck)

Money well spent :P I think my problem was I spent too much time reading user comments in the PHP documentation. Half of them are wrong so it makes it pretty hard to figure out what's going on.

    PHP Variable in URL

It's already been encoded once, since it's already a URI. I think the only characters we need escaped are ampersands. But that is definitely true for encoding the URI the first time.

    Domain Tranfser?

You should be able to use the names, I've never seen it require IP addresses. This would be a problem if the IP address of X10 changes (which it has in the past a few times)

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

Corey seems to be making some progress with CPanel. I really think we'll be able to keep it.

    PHP Variable in URL

Thank you :) Don't forget about it's counterpart: htmlspecialchars_decode() to do the reverse ;)

    can't upload site

Works perfectly for me now. I'm guessing it was a temporary outage.

    Domain Tranfser?

You just need to change nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com make sure you change it in your panel too, http://x10hosting.com/panel.php

    PHP Variable in URL

Yes, there are special characters that need to be encoded, namely ampersand (&) and the greater than and less than symbols (<>). You can use the function htmlspecialchars() to encode strings so they are http safe.

    Remote Database help

It's not remote anymore. Your database is on the same server as your website. You need to use the mysql databases tool and phpmyadmin tool. The server name is localhost instead of www.lichkingmd.co.cc:3306
