Use of index.aspx as an index page?

I believe that ASP.NET uses "default.aspx" for indexes.

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

I think we also have to think of the other side of the coin as well. Not only do users have to have access to their site configuration, but staff too. I'm not sure if a lot of these tools come with administrative features such as limiting the number of databases a user can create.

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

Yeah, I can definitely see that being a problem. I suppose this idea could at least be a last-ditch effort to save cpanel :P

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

What if this was handled internally server side? There has to be some way to redirect from one port to another. What if the 2nd server was started and stopped as needed, instead of running constantly? Doesn't Apache use a script to load and unload the server, so couldn't these scripts be...

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

Ok. I have no idea if this is possible or not, but logically, it seems feasible and from my research it is possible: There are two instances of Apache installed on a server, call them Apache1 and Apache2. Since they cannot execute at the same time on the same port, either: A) Apache1 is port 80...

    Setting up Horde Webmail

You'll have to go in and edit the file listed to fix the problem then. I found this thread: http://lists.horde.org/archives/imp/Week-of-Mon-20011231/016792.html

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

I think credits only is going to mean a lot of worthless spam, creation of multiple accounts only for donating credits, and people selling x10 credits for cash instead of people paying cash to x10 for upgrades to the servers. I agree with your principal, but I think too many people aren't going...

WOW 2.11? X10 -> 5.0.77-community You can't export it as a sql file, because I'm sure something has changed in the syntax. You'll have to export it as a CSV.

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

Yeah, I think that's a pretty fair compromise. But, since it takes some time to get credits, I think having a paying option is good to have as well.

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

And X10 does allow mail-in payments (at least I think I do) so all you people without credit cards can still mail in your payments. I could see this being an X10 reward as well :)

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

What if cpanel was a one time fee service? Have some of the free servers non-cpanel and some cpanel. This would eliminate the "bad" users from choking up cpanel. Then, you could also control when apache recompiles, like only recompiling during non-peak hours and only compiling once per day...

    Setting up Horde Webmail

That is not accessible to the normal user. You should submit a ticket for this because it is a server error, not a user error: http://support.x10hosting.com

remove the public_html part. directus.x10hosting.com is the same as public_html. you are saying public_html/public_html right now ;)

Would you give up cPanel for better uptime?

I think the problem is the number of accounts, but maybe this will help. I think what really makes X10 great is the number of features and if we eliminate that I think it'd probably hurt us too.

    Starka server status?

If you read the announcement Corey made today, it looks as if CPanel is the problem because it's not designed to handle a site as HUGE as x10. So, the information in CPanel may be incorrect for this reason. The link I provided does not use CPanel, but because it does not run on the servers like...
