    You don't need a new host just to change your mail server. You can use google apps instead of x10's mail and keep your hosting.

    It does appear to be valid. You should clear your browser's cache. Also, there is some occasional downtime on the free servers, so if you can't see it, check back in a few minutes.

    If you select "remember me" you don't ever have to log in again, you stayed logged in until you logout or clear your cookies. However, you have to still come to the page :P

    Just login, you don't even have to read anything, if you don't want to. There's usually a lot of cool stuff going on, so I'd recommend looking around at least every 2 weeks :) You can also disable this requirement for $3USD if you don't think you'll remember to login.

    Yes. Google apps only changes who handles your mail, not what your mail address is. It's like using Fedex or UPS; you send packages the same way, just the person carrying changes. And it's free!
