Google is saying this is an attack site?

There was a problem which caused Google to set the malware warning on X10. It is not clear exactly where the problem came from, but staff became aware of this almost immediately and took action to remedy the problem and then inform Google that problem was solved. I have not seen the warning on...

How to backup / restore VPS on new platform

Odd. I have found the Virtualmin backup very easy to configure and use. I am not quite sure what you mean by "full restore". A full restore of the entire VPS is best accomplished using the x10 supplied VPS control panel. That feature has not actually been implemented on the new control panels...

    Google Advisory warning against x10

This has been discussed in numerous threads in the forums over the last couple of days. There was a problem at x10 which was causing Google to give a malware warning. Staff identified the problem yesterday, fixed it, and notified Google. Just have to wait for Google tor remove the warning now.

Google is saying this is an attack site?

Staff say problem solved at x10, just waiting for Google to remove the warning. If you are still getting the very annoying warning in Firefox you can do as I did and temporarily disable it - Preferences - Security - exact location depends on your particular version of Firefox.

    Suspected Malware

One of the admins posted in another thread that one of z10's advertising scripts had been hacked which caused this problem. No "false positive" by Google. It was real. But according to admin x10 removed the bad script yesterday and informed Google that the problem has been solved. However...

    Thanks

That was very refreshing to read after all the recent negative posts lately. I would personally help this guy move his site if I could, but I am very sure that the very able staff at x10 will take care of that in a most efficient manner. Migrations and upgrades can cause problems for everybody...

x10AdultVideo? Why did nobody tell me?

Funny. Brings back memories of my very first home computer 250 MB hard drive (considered HUGE at the time), 64 KB of memory, monochrome monitor, and an external 300 BPS dial up modem. No images of any kind at that point in time and alphanumeric characters would appear on the screen at the rate...

    safebrowsing google

Very plausible theory, but I thought x10 had various safeguards in place to detect and prevent that kind of thing. Browsing Free Hosting Support, (as I frequently do), I see threads about suspended / terminated accounts because of various "bad" / malicious / illegal programs and scripts. But, I...

    safebrowsing google

I think a lot of people have now seen that warning and are very justifiably concerned. I have found that Google Safe Browsing warnings are accurate and reliable and it is generally inadvisable to visit a website which has been "blacklisted" by Google. If you happen to be using a Linux or Apple...

    Suspected Malware

I was not seeing any warnings of any kind until this morning. Now Google Safe Browsing is also giving me warnings on every x10 page including support areas and forums. "Reported Attack Site!" Diagnostic page for x10hosting.com: Of the 428 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 11...
